Rainy day in 2020

Tell me again why I thought getting a puppy was a good idea. Today I came downstairs at 7:30am, and Rob told me he had fed her and taken her outside to poop and pee already (she had done both). Then he left for work, and she immediately peed in the house, then pooped under the dining room table (I had the kids take her out immediately after both incidents), and just now we went outside and she ran around in the mud like a crazy thing until I had to pick her up and bring her inside and give her a bath. Now she’s being sleepy and adorable, but I’m exhausted and it’s not even 9am.

I’ve decided the back yard is too muddy to deal with, so I’m taking her in the front yard on the leash for the rest of today’s potty breaks.

She’s adorable and sweet, but she’s also full of sharp teeth and tiny claws and I just want to relax a little bit but it feels like I’m on full-time puppy watch. I know this won’t last forever, I’m just tired and whiny right now.

Also the kids were fighting this morning and Rob is stressed about something going on at work, and I’m just over it all and ready to go live in a cave by myself for a while.

I’m sure I’ll feel better tomorrow ;)
