I am looking forward to tonight as I am hosting a dinner at a local place. My son Rob and 6 AA friends will join me prior to my Home Group Meeting. At the meeting I will celebrate 25 years of sobriety. In total the Group, small as it is will celebrate 128 years of sobriety spread over 7 celebrants. My other son, Tom and Mary his wife will make the meeting but not the dinner and Marguerite my other DIL is working.
It was an interesting weekend and on Saturday night I did a commitment at a meeting where the speaker talks for 30 minutes and then opens the meeting to whoever raises their hands. It was fun and a woman from the Saturday meeting came with me for support.
Sunday I did a lot of work around the house and cleaning inside. I did make a trip to Bed ,Bath and Beyond for some items I was lacking and in the evening I went to an extra AA meeting .
Today at lunch time I went for new glasses and an eye exam. The news is that cataract surgery is advised so I will be scheduling it in the near future. Every once in a while I have the thought that some of my parts are wearing out but at least I am still under warrenty.
