Saturday 03/15/14 in Lady Loves the Ocean

Good Morning ....

Thank you all for notes. I love knowing my friends are here with me. When OD went down I was concerned I lost all of you. I am thankful I didn't. I will try to write here more often but we all know how that goes.

I am doing well. PT is helping me. I was really afraid to do anything after surgery. Because I didn't want to mess anything up. My PT person is wonderful. I have had her in the Past when I had problems with my back so she knows my history. So now I am 3.5 weeks out from surgery. I am walking 30 minutes each day. Plus I have six exercises I do twice a day as well. I am really working hard to build a stronger core so my back is much more stable. I am thankful I did the surgery.

Also grateful for being in remission. This is the first time it's lasted this long. Fingers crossed it continues. I am still having my blood checked once a week.

We have some wonderful Spring like weather this past week. Each day the temps rose into the 50's. Still a bit of ugly snow left on the ground. I have been going out walking twice a day. I love it. The sunshine feels so good. I feel like my body is just sucking it up when I am out walking. Vitamin D. It does a body good.

Today I am going out to meet the girls from work. We are meeting at Olive Garden for lunch. We haven't been together since December 2nd our last day of work. So I am excited to see them. I really miss them a lot. We keep in touch through Email, phone but it's not the same when you don't see them everyday. We all worked together for 18 years. They are family.

I finished the book "Fear Nothing" by Lisa Gardner. It was very good. I am now reading "Dust" by Patricia Cornwell. So far it's good too. I love to read. And now I have tons of time to do it.

I think that is it for now. I am going to jump in the shower, then get some breakfast. And hopefully get a walk in before I leave to meet my girlfriends.
