Snow in upstate is not an emergency. It is hilarious that Cuomo is actually the voice of reason in New York now, now that Dipshit Blasio is the second most powerful politician in the state. As idiotic as I think the politics in Maine, New York by far has the lock.

I am a little long in getting to my taxes. I am sure I have had everything I need since the end of January. My taxes are pretty easy these days. i could probably download a copy of a 1040EZ and get away with it. The state return is a bit more convoluted which makes me need to lean on H&R Block.
The first 6K of retirement distribution is tax free in Maine. But nowhere do they explain how you are supposed to take that 6K off. I don't put anything on a tax form that isn't exactly what is on my 1099R, yet HRB finds me another 400 bucks coming my way every time I use them. Of course that costs me a hunnert bucks.
I am all for abolishing the IRS (the primary enforcement mechanism for Obomanationcare) and the MRS (the primary mechanism for putting a bunch of Somalis on welfare in Maine).
I'd be for replacing it all with a flat tax, or a VAT - except I know liberals, and they wouldn't get rid of the IRS if a VAT was passed, they'd just add it on to what we have to pay in taxes. There isn't a liberal out there who has ever seen a tax they don't like.
