Snow Day in In the Meadow

I like the new entry box. With the old entry box I felt like there was too big a space and it was sort of intimidating to try to fill it. Now I type three sentences and it looks like a huge amount.

The kids had a snow day from school. Hopefully the last wintry day of the season. We're getting quite a blizzard. The snow is piled up against the basement windows where I am writing this.

Timmy had his stitches out on Sunday. It was supposed to be Saturday but we had a family dinner on Saturday. I called and they said it was okay if he got them out a day late. He didn't get them put in until nine o'clock on Saturday night, so it was really just over five days. The nurse practitioner said his cut healed very well. He has a bandage that he is supposed to keep on this week to provide extra support. There will be a small scar at first and then over the next few months it will gradually fade away.

Timmy went back to school on Monday. He missed four days last week because of his stitches, and now they have a snow day today. He is not supposed to go back to playing sports until next week, just to make sure it is fully healed.

Otherwise everything is going well. We have been reading and watching movies today. I think we are all getting a little bit of spring fever with all this late season snow. The temperature is supposed to be close to fifty degrees on Friday. Hopefully a lot of the snow will melt, but not too fast or it may cause flooding.
