To say it has been overwhelming is an understatement. The whole upstairs of the house has to be gutted. There is a company for clean up, one for clothing, electronics, dishes, a company that will find me housing, there is this adjustor, that adjustor, an adjustor for liability because the one neighbor’s insurance company wants mine to pay for her repairs. So far my insurance company has been handling things really well but it is still stressful and overwhelming. We have papers to go thru but need to wear venetilator masks because of the lingering smoke smell and need to be on the deck or patio room. Just got confirmation today that temporary housing has been found and approved so hoping to go back to,the complex this afternoon to finalize the arrangements. Looking at a four month stay. It is an apartment and if it had gas cooking I would be tempted to stay there permanently as that has been a consideration as to staying in the house but for now it will be the apartment. The “boys” (cats) will like it, they will have their own room😸😸. It is a 3 bedroom apartment, really wanted a two bedroom but none were available until the end of November and the 3 bedroom is available now so that is what it is. Oh! and I am going back to work part-time next Monday at my old job. They gave me a card with over $400 in it. To say I am overwhelmed is truly an understatement.

It’s good it’s all being arranged and maybe you will find you like an apartment or townhouse better. I can imagine it’s terribly stressful though. Hugs to you !
Nice of your work to do that !

What a mess. Sounds as if everyone is responding well. You've dealt with enough without cleaning up the mess.
