Well yesterday was very warm. Today - not so much. Now we hear of the possibility of a multilayered storm on the way. I would be fine with two weeks of rain to get rid of all this ridiculous snow.
The "spring forward" was an oddity. I was wondering if I would get the call or text to head out for breakfast this morning. I only popped my bedside clock ahead before going to bed. I usually get up between 530 and 6am. On Sunday I go for 730am.
When I woke up it was 8am and I was confused. The sun was all wrong. I don't remember being particularly in tune with sun angles when I was a kid, but I sure am now. Most of the time I can tell within an hour what time it is without a clock.
Then I realized it was really only 7am by the sun. Stupid fucking daylight savings time.
This little 18 year old hottie didn't want to follow her parent's rules, moved out and sued her parents for support and tuition for school.
Sure I'd have sex with her. But anyone so self absorbed to not realize where the fuck the new car and the private school tuition and living expenses come from would get the same advice my son got when he dropped out of high school immediately after his 18th birthday: You better figure it out, because you aren't on my dime anymore.
I was gorfing around on Indeed.com - trying to figure out what i was going to do after I graduated from my extended foray into grad school.
There are a lot of independent contractor jobs out there for Project Managers - especially MBA/PMP types. There is an attraction to that. It means not being tied to an organization forever. Most are one year contracts.
I chuckled to see that BMSBC is looking for a senior project manager in estimation. The position I originally applied for more than seven years ago before being picked up by CM/DM. I might, on a lark, apply to see what they say. Remember I basically told that company to piss up a rope, resigned and walked away.
Being an independent contractor sounds better to me. In fact after I finish the MBA I am going to burn out the rest of my VA eligibility taking classes regarding consulting. Maybe some tech stuff.
I was disappointed Katheryn Winnick didn't even show up on last week's Vikings. We know Lagertha went on to be the queen of Norway, so surely she isn't gone from the series. I loves me a certain shield maiden!
Skipping TWD tonight. Going with Resurrection instead.
