Gluten Bombs Away... in The Brickhouse Chronicles...Part II

Why am I so stubborn? Why are gluten-filled goodies so yummy? Why don't the consequences outweigh the taste? So many questions.

I won my third DietBet. The bet was $25 and I ended up winning $72 and losing 4% of my starting weight. I am pleased with the end result, but my eating wasn't stellar. I was 75% clean, but that other 25%? Gluten bombs. A cookie here, handful of crackers there...umm, a baby shower "incident". Blah...I was one of the hostesses...it was socially required, right?

Le sigh. My body hates gluten. The "win" is bittersweet because my body aches. RA demands damn near diet perfection and I'm a fat girl that loves food rebellion. I'm not the chick that goes along with the other folks leaping off the diet wagon...I lead the charge. Food addiction is real. I will never view myself as "cured". My official label is "recovering food addict". I need more days as "food elitist" and less as "sugar slut". Detox time!

In other news, Baxter is no longer a small puppy. He's growing quickly. His "Sandlot" feet are dashing my hopes of being a socialite that carries a tiny dog in my purse.

KING BAXTER

Have a great week, folks.
