Goodnight Sweet World in The eye of every storm

Goodnight sweet world its time to close my eyes
For the sun has set and darkened the skies
And the quiet set in on the gentle breeze
Goodnight to the mountains, the plains and the seas
Rest your head, breathe calm let your dreams set in
The bad guys are gone and the good guys did win
And all is right in this moment in time
Goodnight sweet world, I’m closing my eyes

Tomorrow is filled with a hope that’s renewed
This bedroll is my secret fountain of youth
And the divisive opinions of the wrong and the skewed
Can’t hurt us anymore
Goodnight sweet, sweet world

The day was long and filled with ups and downs
Every move we made was eclipsed by a doubt
Yet none of that really matters now
Goodnight to the trials that our minds did allow
Rest your eyes and body as sleep sets in
Cast off the worry the regrets and the sin
Tomorrow is new, a time to begin but now-
Goodnight sweet world, the day’s worn thin

Tomorrow is filled with a hope that’s renewed
A brand new day not to be confused
With the days events in these worn shoes
Nothing can hurt us today anymore
Goodnight sweet, sweet world

And the sun will rise and the birds will sing
The joys and hope each new day brings
So come what may, show me everything
There is to offer under your wings
Rebirth of spirit with the wisdom of old
We’ve learned so much from the stories we’d told
Today I’m tired and ready to fold
Goodnight sweet, sweet world
(Wake me in the morn’)
Goodnight sweet, sweet world
(I’ll be here in the morning)
