Day 1 back to counting calories and exercising perfectly went really well. I just did my exercises and I even have some calories left and I'm going to bed soon. So...yay me? Lol I know I know it's only ONE day.
I wanted to get out of the house today for a change of scenery so I took the boys to a playcentre that I hadn't taken Cody to since before Miles was born. For some reason there were like 50 kids running around this place. Absolute chaos. Cody ran around like a crazy child having fun and I trailed after him to some extent. I spoke to a few moms I didn't know which was nice. One because she was nursing her baby and looking at me at the exact moment Miles power puked all over my shirt. So she commented on how she'd totally been there and we talked a bit. Found out her 2.5 month old baby girl is the same weight as Miles (17 pounds). Wow lol.
Miles hates laying on his tummy but needs to do it regularly to get stronger and so he'll actually crawl one day so I brought him to the baby area and him and a baby girl a month older than him laid on their tummies looking at each other. That helped him last longer than usual before crying. Then I tried to help him practice sitting up while he played with a toy and chatted with the baby girls mom and her family who were there all adoring and taking pictures of the baby girl. That made me miss my mom. She would love to go to a place like that with us. I actually took her there once to show her how much Cody loved the place.
I stayed at the playcentre for 4 hours because Cody was having so much fun. I have never stayed that long. Miles had a nap in his car seat at one point. He was exhausted so I rocked it and put a blanket over top and even with all the noisy kids he slept for 30 minutes. Cody had a snack at one point, I changed both their diapers and nursed Miles. Near the end I noticed Cody and a little 4 year old girl playing together. They were off by themselves and kept hugging now and then lol. Cody loves hugging kids for some reason. Then they were rolling around and hugging. So weird lol. Her Dad saw them too (they were on an upper level) and said she's a hugger too. I didn't really have a conversation with the guy cuz he didn't exactly seem like an attentive father. Cuz you know it's completely normal to curl up on the couch in a playcentre and have a nap while your 4 year old plays, right? Father of the year right there lol. He was out for a good half hour.
I got some reusable food pouches that I ordered in the mail today! So awesome!! Cody loves them so I figured I'd learn some recipes where I could hide some veggies in with some fruit so he'd get more veggies and that's a great snack to pop in my bag for when we go somewhere. They'll be great for Miles too while he's still eating purees :)
Anyways, time for a shower and then bed time I think. Miles only woke for one feeding last night which was pretty awesome. Hope that's a trend! (I usually feed him twice and have to put the soother back in once).
