Monday I saw Saving Mr. Banks at the cinema. It was an okay film but I was not as psyched about it as some people apparently were, seeing its high score on Rotten Tomatoes. Next week I'll go see Her.

So today we made a cake. Yesterday she told me we should make one to take to Oma's house. I figured it should be take 2 on the cheese cake. This morning we went shopping for the ingredients. I didn't even turn off the computer when we left because I thought we would be gone for only a couple minutes. Instead we were gone for an hour as she dragged me from one store to another.

The cake took surprisingly little amount of time to make. The filling is basically Mascarpone cheese, condensed sweetened milk and whipped cream. She tasted the filling and said it was delicious. Tomorrow we'll add the berries and jelly on top. Later that day we'll leave to Oma's and be back Monday. She'll have vacation for the next week too.

Began reading Peter the Great: His Life and World by Robert K. Massie. So far seems very interesting.

Also today I finished Book VII of Miscellanies by Clement of Alexandria. So just one more book to go. Honestly, that really shouldn't have taken me 5 months to finish. I guess after that we'll move on to Origen.
