My mom had to get an MRI of her brain because she was experiencing massive headaches. Her breast cancer is all gone, so they weren't 100% positive what was causing it (she still had one more dose of chemo at the time).
Well, the MRI showed that she has a tumor in her brain. They know it's benign, which is awesome, but they aren't sure what to do about it. They're going to do another MRI in 3 months to see if it grows, and go from there.
My mom is amazing. When she told my brother, sister, and I about it, her first words after the whole "Hey I have a tumor" thing was, "Well, shit happens." She always rolls with the punches, never feels sorry for herself, etc. She has only used the cancer card on me once. I had the awful 8 hour stomach bug (the whole puking every 10 minutes, followed by an excessive drainage of my intestinal system). I was laying on the floor of my room and FaceTimed with her. She said, "Get up. You're not dying from cancer!!"
So I got up, puked some more, and fell asleep. She has never used the cancer card on me except that one time. She likes to put me in my place...especially when I need it the most.
