Actually it was supposed to have started last night, but it is slower than expected OR what we were supposed to get yesterday veered away from us. I'll take it whichever happened. Sister and family arrived at dad's yesterday afternoon with their birds in tow. They have two and the cage for one of them is huge. They set the cages up in dad's family/remodeled carport that is now an enclosed and heated family room type. Don't think dad was impressed but it's too late. The birds will stay with him until they get moved. I think he might enjoy them as the African something talks. Very entertaining.
I went up to dad's to see them as soon as I got home from work. I had worn very warm clothes to work yesterday to include a turtle neck, long sleeved blouse and jacket. I got really hot in dad's house and got to feeling pretty yucky. I brought nephew home with me, feeling a bit worse by the minute, but thinking that when I cooled off some the feeling would get better. Not to be. I was in the bathroom wretching as dad and sister arrived here. Long story short, they all went back to dad's and I went to bed. I really felt bad that I felt so sick and couldn't spend time with sister but it was out of my control. This morning I feel much better although not super, but I'll take a shower in a few minutes to hopefully rid myself of the rest of the blahs.
Sister's husband went on to his job city last night with the possibility of crappy weather so it is just her and Jack at Dads. I expect they will spend a lot of time here and that is ok. Dad's house is soooo warm and he keeps the thermostat at 80 or more. I keep mine at 70 so there is a big difference between the two homes and most folks would rather be here than there. At 85 you should be able to be comfortable and 80 or more in the house is comfortable to him. Since he doesn't move around a lot he needs the temperature warmer and age seems to make us colder.
Not sure how long sis will stay at dad's but possibly longer than she planned with the snow, sleet, and other elements coming in tonight. They are saying we should not get the freezing rain which is what takes tree limbs and power lines down, and I am praying they are correct. I may need to run to the grocery store again as dad doesn't have much at his house and I told my sister to take whatever she wanted last night when they went back to dad's. I may need to get more bread and I need to check to see how many eggs I have as I think I'm going to make a batch of tuna salad as an option for sandwiches.
Well, I guess I better get it in gear before the morning is late morning. Washing machine is ready for another load of clothes and the dryer is already drying a load. May go to Walmart to look at the TV mounts for the TV I ordered dad for his b'day. It will be used for his EaZy Reader that magnifies print on newspapers, books, magazines, etc on a TV screen. His eyesight isn't great at all anymore and my cousin bought the Eazy Ready for him a couple or three weeks ago. His LR TV has on one video input so......this was the solution.
Stay warm and stay safe. God Bless
