And these three exist, death, taxes, and change. Sooner or later they will get you. Nothing you can do about it. Acceptance is your best friend in these times. Much like the EULA that we never read and then wonder why our computer is suddenly displaying icons and short cuts we have never seen if you want to use a certain social media you agree to give up some of your rights and priveledges.
There is no such thing as absolute freedom. While the rights of some are guaranteed the rights of others are suppressed. Freedom of Speech is censored on Facebook. Certain comments are now considered hate crimes. Things we could say and do when I was in high school will now land you in jail.
If something offends someone, it is now apt to be removed or changed. Freedom of Religion also means Freedom from Religion. And I find it difficult to believe that our founding fathers intended for our Government to function the way it is today.
We either learn from history or we a doomed to repeat it. In 1776 this great nation was born by the blood of colonists. No taxation without representation would be tolerated. And today we have exactly that. The people in Washington D.C. are not voting the will of the people, they vote for whatever benefits them. Maybe we need a revolution because the right to vote and term limits are not the solutions.
