Wings, Ladies. in Watching Time Go By

It’s been raining all day.
It’s been windy, too.
But it’s not the kind of rain that just pours down and makes things uninteresting.
It’s a very light rain accompanied with the swaying of trees.
Some ducks trying to find their place in the ponds of my neighbors driveway.
If it wasn’t so cold, I’d probably go sit outside for a minute.
But my husband already locked up for the night and…
Well it is pretty chilly. And very wet.

I watched some more of the Handmaids Tale to get closer to the new season.
I’ve taken a strange notice to how beautifully composed the soundtrack is.
Not the songs that accompany the show, but the original soundtrack.
It’s this ominous swelling of strings paired with a stumbling sunrise of piano melodies. (Sometimes).

Even if you haven’t watched the show, listen to it.
It should pair well with a rainy day or some lingering melancholy.
