From nanowrimo forums:

TH: However, my Dysinuss don't have the . . . distinct pleasure of possible paradise or eternal damnation. .... That means Dysinuss parents can't waddle a finger and say you can't do this or that because bad kids go to hell - because regardless of how saintly a Dysinuss is, they never go anywhere else but hell. That leads me to assume that Dysinuss would have a lot more criminals and rowdy individuals.

Me: Given that I was raised without the belief in eternal punishment and the afterlife and I have not yet committed any genocidal atrocities, I offer as a working hypothesis that you can be good without a god...

Me: The concept of a god who punishes you for sins such as murder, rape, masturbation and kissing someone of a different race or same sex is not universal.
