Hello new family…
I’m julie and I’m part of the DE convoy that rooted here after the pending closure of our beloved home.
My first entry at digital expressions was on February 28th 2003. Yes, an og. It became my home at 15 years old. I am now 34 years old and the pain I feel from losing such a big part of my life is devastating.
I’ve made friends with some of the most wonderful people I still talk to this day.
I’ve even met a handful in person and it was truly beautiful.
De saved my life in so many ways and I’m forever grateful.
And with that I look forward to my new home, despite my hatred of change, and I look forward to meeting my new neighbors.

Welcome! Like another comment mentioned, I think a majority of us came here from communities that closed down (somewhat suddenly in some cases)! I hope this site can be for you what it was for so many of us when that happened!

I so feel you, it's such a hard change to accept. It's very devastating, but I'm really glad we all could move together and in some sense, bring DE with us. 💕

Totally looking forward to this and to connecting and/or reconnecting with so many people that I either got to know or just randomly came across back in the day. I have a lot of lifelong friends from DE as well and I'm eternally grateful. I have people that I even send Christmas cards to still (when I remember to send cards, lol) and it just makes my heart smile.
