It’s been a minute in 2019 New Year same me

Can’t remember the last time I wrote in here. Our remodeling is done finally I’ll post photos eventually. Those that follow me on Facebook have already seen it. We just bought a living room set I love.

Here’s my gripe so we went to Walker furniture and talked to a salesmen over a month ago. We kept trying to get him to get us a good deal and we decided on a grey leather recliner, couch, end table and coffee table. However when we went back they tack on a price for everything so it turned out to be 700 bucks more than what he quoted me. I was hangry by that time and was about to lose it especially when they came back and told us they didn’t have what we wanted in stock after telling us they did.

Thankfully we found another set we liked for a lot less so there’s that.

Also in things annoying me, my husband has taken horrible care of his teeth. His parents are on the poorer scale and rarely took him and his sister for cleanings. Thankfully I’m the daughter of a dentist so I was lucky to grow up with regular cleanings and got braces, etc. He had five fillings, two crowns and he needs implants. The fillings and crowns thankfully insurance covers. We are lucky to get our teeth worked on by the dentist who took over my dads practice when he retired. He is going to do the implants at cost but it’s still 1,500.

So until that’s paid off we are eating on a card table, could be worse.

What else oh, my mom left for Italy on the 15th her and my aunt are going to Florence, and the Amalfi coast. Then they fly back to America June something and spend a few weeks traveling in the eastern part of the country. My mom turns 70 on the 26 and my dads throwing a huge party for her out east at my cousins. Unfortunately my youngest bro and I and my hubby cannot go. I can’t spring for 800 in tickets and neither can my brother. It sucks because it’s a huge birthday. Hopefully my brother who now lives in North Carolina where he got a nursing job and his boyfriend can make it.

We are going to have a party for her when she comes home in July at our house.

I have to work tomorrow 8-12 hopefully the gym is dead and I’ll be able to leave earlier. Plans are to bbq hot dogs sans bun cause I’m doing the Keto thing, with a leafy salad and if I manage my calories and net carbs right maybe fruit for desert. We bought a adult size blow up pool but the weather here has been odd. Sixty and seventies but it’s not scorching hot so that’s a win.

Off to research for the two trips we have on the horizon. Hawaii in Dec and Disney world in April
