mermaids in rants

Last night I watched a show on the Discovery Channel about mermaids. It was a follow up to a show they aired a couple of years ago. WHY??? I am sure they put a lot of effort and money into this show... again WHY??? It's a hoax, it's fiction, it's unreal... so WHY???

We did evolve from sea life but there are no colonies of part man and part fish people under the water. That's too Disney for me to believe, lol.

That's why I don't understand why they spend time, effort and money on a show one a channel people refer to for FACTS.
