Thought #2:
When traveling, people frequently come in, and then they might leave. Sometimes they might come back in! Sometimes - and I didn’t realize this at the time - the moment we say bye might be the last time we see each other again.

I wish I was more “thank u, next”, but if I’m honest, there have been a few “please, again”s.
