Hey all! It’s been awhile. Let me give you some quick updates.

We got the 3 bedroom apartment and moved in a little over a week ago. Everything is great! It’s so clean and quiet and we have so much more space. We ended up putting Freddie into the front room and the baby’s room is next to ours in the back. My parents bought Freddie a bedroom set and came down to set it up. His furniture and the baby’s furniture wouldn’t fit in the same room, so it’s a good thing we sprung for the 3 rooms! He also had a playroom and we have a dining room. It’s amazing! I’m already so happy here.

Im 34 weeks pregnant. My due date is 6/15, but I don’t think I’m going to make it to the end. I have a feeling she’s coming early and I need to start wrapping things up at work. At my last doctors appointment, my dr said I have more amniotic fluid than normal. He said it’s really nothing to worry about, unless my water breaks. Then I’m at risk for cord prolapse, which means the umbilical cord could fall down the birth canal before the baby, causing the baby to push on it during contractions, and cutting off her blood supply, which could obviously be very dangerous. I’m now going to the dr and getting a sonogram every week.

She has also dropped in the last week, which is a good sign. She’s already head down and in a great position for birth. And at the sonogram I had on Friday, she was already weighing in at 6.6lbs. Babies generally put on 1/2 a pound a week until their due date…so if I do go full term, she could be a 9lb baby. I see my dr on Friday and need to discuss my options. It might be safer to schedule an induction or a c-section if he thinks she’s going to be too big or if he’s concerned about the amniotic fluid.

Realistically, I could have a baby before the end of may! Absolutely crazy to think about, but here we are. I finally got some time to start setting up her room. It felt good to put things away and look through her clothes. My mom sent her bedroom crib set, so once my husband fixes the crib I can get her bed ready. Thinking I’m going to get some wall hangings with her name too. The room is a bit dull right now. I’ll probably get one for Freddie too and match his Spider-Man stuff. Just need to brighten up their rooms a bit.

I’m getting anxious about giving birth. I know what to expect, but it isn’t much fun. I feel like we haven’t prepared enough and that she’s going to be here so soon that we’re going to run out of time. I started getting the hospital bag together and it hit me that this pregnancy is almost over. I’m ready to not be pregnant any more, but I’m nervous about the ending part. With everything that’s happened this time around, I’m scared birth is going to be difficult or complicated.

  1. I had those heart palpitations in the first trimester. Luckily, everything was ok.
  2. She had that scare with the cyst in her brain. It’s fixed itself, but they’re still keeping and eye on it. I’m still hoping there is nothing wrong with her once she’s here.
  3. I have more amniotic fluid than normal and am at risk for cord prolapse once I go into labor.
  4. There have been so many more aches and pains and uncomfortableness than last time. I’m ready to have my body back.

I need to relax and not worry too much about it. Easier said than done when you have a very active baby squirming around inside you all day long and the only thing anyone talks to you about is the baby. Good vibes everything goes well and she gets here when she’s supposed to.

Later.
