Snowstorm Number Fifteen in General

Talk about wasting a day. Computer wouldn't start up. I blame Bilbo Gate's crew and their predilection for shoving unwanted updates into the machine. Every time they do it gets wonkier and slower.

Then the USB keyboard I have been using for years abruptly stopped working. I am thanking my frugal Scotts-Irish roots that I never throw away anything of potential use. I had the last two keyboards from computer purchases still in the box. I used to take electronics apart and store all the potentially useful hardware for later use. I am pretty sure there are some brass screws from my first stereo in the sorting bins in the garage.

Early this afternoon it was up to Beanie's house to sign a stack of releases. To cover their asses every organization that needs to communicate with any other organization regarding my daughter needs a release.

She gave me a big hug, which is odd. She has never been particularly huggy. She is thriving in the assisted living environment. She looks good. Her hair is long, and the deal she has with the staff is that as long as she keeps it brushed out and washed she can do what she wants with her hair.

She has three supplemental checks that Elmhurst wasn't sure what to do with. Finally the answer from the state came "they are hers with which to do whatever she wants."

Beanie wants an iPad. So I guess she is getting an iPad. I just have to deposit the checks into her account and pull the cash out later.

I have to be extra careful to not mingle funds.

The fifteenth or so snow storm of the season is under way. Yesterday I spent a few hours up at the folks place chopping the four inches of ice out of the driveway so the fuel guy can gas them up. This winter has gotten a little long in the tooth.

Other than updates from mancub and pictures of grandcub I barely have a footprint on Faceplant. I am closing in on just shutting that account down. Or going into ignore. I am uninterested in most of what happens there.

Don't be looking for me on Twitter or Snapchat. Uninterested.
