Saturday at my tutoring gig I read The Cat in the Hat to Dominic, a little ginger 1st-Grader.
We didn’t finish it. I’d forgotten what it was about… turns out it’s mainly about being good when your mother’s away and not listening to uppity cats who think they can do whatever they want because your parents aren’t home.
The cuteness nearly ended me.
It’s just… when you’re a 30-something adult & you imagine wanting to take care of a little person, your ideal image is something like reading Dr. Seuss to a little boy in your arms with Cheeto dust on his fingers.
It’s weird.

Not weird. Reading to my kids is my favorite.
