No news on any work yet. Talked to friend yesterday (Josh's friend's sister's husband) and said he is waiting on a phone call/email back. It's pretty much a sure thing that i will get one of the jobs, most likely the lower paying one first and then that could/should lead to the higher paying one. It's not that I don't want to work -- it's that i don't want my children in daycare. It's just my opinion, but daycare is not "school." A friend of mine justifies it that her just 4 year old has been in "school" for 2 years. It's just me, but I don't want my kids there. With people who i don't know, raising them. Teaching them the ins and outs of daily life (especially at this age) and PLAYING with them. Last night, FIL and BILs were down here and I was able to watch the kids with Jim, Josh's brother (he's 31 like me -- but more about him another day). At least I can feel comfortable with the fact that he's GOOD with the boys. He plays with them, takes care of them, watches them and seems to ENJOY them. And he understands that we really can't pay him until we begin to catch up a bit.
But anyways, this entry is NOT about work.
Yesterday was LIAM'S BIRTHDAY!
My teeny preemie is now a 25lb ONE YEAR OLD. We took him for his first haircut in the morning. Then we had Joshua's speech therapy session (at our home). After, we made a cake and around 5:30 we had pizza for dinner (i had salad. Not because i don't eat pizza, because i DO, but because i don't eat gluten crust or dairy cheese). After dinner we did a few presents (we had bought Liam a Yo Gabba Gabba nap mat MONTHS ago, and also got him a few Hot Wheels, etc) and FIL got him a Mickey dvd and a couple packs of hot wheels cars. And we had the cake. Oh my, the cake. It was the party sprinkle whatever you call it vanilla with sprinkles mixed in box cake, with vanilla frosting. Liam LOVED it, but then he ended up being up ALL NIGHT LONG. Screaming, all night long. I'm assuming something was bothering him, and the only real different thing he had was the cake/frosting. :(
Which leads me even more to believe that all issues we have sometimes are food related. After starting to get a few chapters into reading "Go Dairy Free" I really am believing that Joshua and I have some sort of issue with dairy. But there's lots of things it could be. It's not just lactose intolerant, or a dairy allergy, or a dairy intolerance... And can cause anything from anxiety, eczema, "black" under eyes, sleeping problems, behavioral problems, migraines, the usual stomach & digestive problems, and SO MUCH MORE. So, i need to make time to finish this book. I'm doing well doing my best to be dairy free (minus having some of the cake last night) but moving my kids to dairy free? Almost impossible, especially on our budget.
