My kids. Are polar opposites. Howwwww can they be so completely different? Right from the start, too. Kasin almost never cried, food solved everything, he would eat all the time. Never had diaper rash or any real illnesses, has no chronic or even acute or recurrent medical issues. He was a typical boy, into everything, but never naughty or overwhelming... Milo has cried every moment of his life since he was born, is a complete psycho monster, has horrible sensitive skin and eczema, asthma, ADHD.. chronic and persistent ear infections, basically anything you can think of. They continue to be complete opposites in everything else, too.
Kasin is sick, he has tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and croup. They had to give him a dose of steroids at the doctor. He hasn't been to the doctor's office in probably just over a year, because he's just never sick. Milo is at the doctor constantly. Kasin has always been big for his age, 90th percentile since always. Milo is right at the 45th-50th percentile. Since always.
Kasin got weighed today and the last time he was weighed, he was 77lbs. I assumed he was around 80-85lbs currently, but he weighed in at 91! I couldn't believe it. He's not even 9 yet!! He will be at the end of the month, but hey. lol He's 4'8" tall, and 91 lbs. SHEESH!
Milo, on the other hand... In November, he was 34 lbs, 31 1/2 inches tall. A week or so ago, at the doctor, he was 33.2lbs and 37 1/2 inches tall. He's LOST weight, but gained 6 inches in height. He's still right around 50-60th %ile for height, but I don't know if I should be concerned about his weight or not... he's energetic (lord help me) and happy, when he isn't screaming. He seems to be thriving, he absorbs information like a sponge, he's damn near reading, he has great fine and gross motor skills, so it's like he's delayed or defecient in any way, but sheesh! How do you LOSE almost a pound and gain 6 inches of height?! He's gunna be 3 on the 23rd, I cant believe it. Yikes.
Life is bustling along. The kids are busy busy. Kasin is hopefully testing for his green stripe in TKD on the 22nd, and Milo will start Tae Kwon Do on March 1st, after his birthday. He is VERY excited, but I think he will be heartbroken when he realizes he's in a different class than Kasin. sigh! my boys. Keepin me on my toes, always.
