I hate feeling like I'm walking on eggshells at work. Yesterday, one of my kids dads told me that his son had a bad cough. The dad was going out of town, and "under no circumstances should you call his mom". The mom has two floral shops here and yesterday was Valentines Day...so she would have been super busy. Well, he kiddo had a temp of 100.3....and my boss said to not call the mom. The kiddo eventually fell asleep in the office about a half hour before his grandfather picked him up. On the way out, the kiddo threw up in the lobby.
I'm not ok with this. I'm not ok knowing he was sick and we didn't call anyone. My boss said we don't even call for a temp of 100....but why not? A kid can't come to school with a temp of 100, so why should they be allowed to stay there with the same temp?
This is going to come back and bite me on the ass....I just know it.
