No way!

Tried to make an appointment with my GP because this shoulder thing is still being a bitch. Can't see ANY doctor in the practice until MAYBE the second week of March. Mind you, the GP can't do anything for my shoulder except refer me to the joint specialists. I know this because my daughter and I both rode that very same merry-go-round less than a month ago. It was upon hanging up that I remembered we have PPO insurance. This, of course, means that I don't need a referral unless the specialist requires it. This one did not. I managed to get an appointment for this coming Monday.

I continue with the range of motion, still not getting past those two points (one up/one down), and making sure to move my elbows a lot when on the computer or crocheting.

Beth (the dog we co-own with breeder) goes for her 2-year tests. OFA and DNA. Her following heat is when she is expected to be bred. There is nothing anyone can say that will make me feel any worse about this. We chose Beth (at 11 months) instead of buying a young puppy because from the moment I saw her, I knew I couldn't ever sleep knowing she was spending her life in a breeding kennel. When her gate was opened, she made a bee-line for my side, and heavily pressed her head against my thigh. She would have come home that same day if I'd had my druthers.

I've been hoping and praying the vet might find something that would preclude Beth from ever having puppies. We'll see.

Me too; maybe he could be persuaded with a bribe :/

I am in total agreement. I did what I could to save Beth from kennel living. There was some home when, with her first two heats she developed persistent UTIs. Her third heat was fine.

I am hoping that in moving away (250 miles), and given the fact that she already has many breeding girls, Beth may fall towards the bottom of her breeding list.

So Beth lives at your house and the breeder gets the pups? I haven't heard of that before.

Yes. Breeding rights. Now - when I move, I may well find a vet sympathetic to our cause. The assigned bet here is the breeder's cousin.
