I’ve just worked my butt off in the past few days trying to keep up with the various homework assignments and quizzes that were due. And this is only the first week of my new school semester. I think I’m going to have to cut the number of penpals I have unfortunately. I’ll only have time to respond to one or two penpals per week so that’s distraughting. I especially hope I can make it past these eight weeks because that’s the time I have a certain online class (Intro to Physical Therapy Assistant) which has decked me over by the sheer amount of time that’s required to study and complete the coursework and quiz. I was thinking of dropping it so I can complete it in a less hectic schedule, but after completing the quiz earlier today (I got 100%!), it seems more doable especially since I know how much the study guides (which is huge for a weekly quiz!) will be used in the future. As it turned out, only a fraction of the study guides were used so I suppose I don’t need to worry too too much on filling it out.
My little brother dropped by today and we talked a little bit about school and gaming. Apparently, he’s going to complete his Finance degree this May and will be trying to enter the CHP (California Highway Patrol) Academy and become a highway police officer. I’m proud of how far he’s come and I’ll have to do just as well by completing my own Physical Therapy Assistant program. Unfortunately, even if I complete my prerequisites, there’s a yearly lottery system in place that I may not get on the first or second round. Therefore, I’ve opted to make Gerontology my backup and complete an A.A. degree quickly since I’ll have most of the classes completed already. We also discussed games and he downloaded Portal on to my computer and watched me complete the first seven levels. It’s an interesting game and very ingenious too with the way they designed the game. I don’t know if I’ll be completing the game any time soon since I have school, but I’ll make a case for it during summer break.
