If you are tired and you know it... in 2019

I am sure that if you are an adult you are exhausted. I don’t care if it’s the middle of the day, the end of the day or you just emerged from your bed. I’m sure that you are already tired. As an adult, your bed is your lifeline but you never get to spend enough time there.

Now if you hold down a job, are a parent or are married you know that your level of exhaustion is multiplied. And if you are like me, married, a mother, and have a full time job  you really understand where I am coming from. There are days where it is actually physically painful to leave my bed and get moving. But once I get moving I know things will be okay.

I suppose I should introduce myself. I am a 35 year old woman who loves history, reading, bubble baths, chocolate, taking photos, beauty products, bath products, hair products, food, candles, sparkles, 80s movies and music, 90s movies and music and all things that have to do with my daughter. I work full-time at an electric utility company and have an hour or more long commute every day. It’s exhausting, time consuming and it pays the bills.

I have been married to my husband for 10 years. It will be 11 years on March 15th. We have been together for almost 13 years. He makes me laugh more than anyone. He is the balance to getting me to slow down and relax. And he is a wonderful father. He loves comic books, super heros, The DC Universe, conventions, writing scripts and Funko Pops.

We have a 7 (8 in March) year old daughter named Emily Rogue. Yes, Rogue is her middle name. The husband picked that. She has ADHD, anxiety and sensory processing disorder. So I’m sure you will hear about struggles regarding that. She loves YouTube, LOL Surprise dolls, Barbie, soccer, Pick-Me Pops, Polly Pockets and anything that is popular with other girls her age. She is sensitive, emotional, hyper, kind, big hearted and beautiful. She is our world.
We live our lives in a small beach town in NJ. We live with my Mother-in-Law. My father-in-law lived with us too until he passed away a little over a year and a half ago. We miss him every day and my daughter struggles deeply with this loss.

That’s life. This blog will be an eclectic mix of ranting about life, talking about parenting struggles, reviewing products that I think are awesome, talking about Emily’s ADHD, Sensory Processing and Anxiety, talking about marriage, and just discussing all things life
