TS3 University Life in The Sims

It’s been fun learning the ins and outs of the University Life EP. I’ve re-done every university lot that exists and have them saved in the bin so I can use them for each university in all my different worlds. I didn’t change them drastically, only really spruced them up a bit. The game developers have definitely improved from The Sims 2 in their lot decorating skills.

They still only use objects from the BG then whatever EP it was created for though. I know it guarantees base game compatibility for players but it’s a pain in the butt for those of own who every expansion and stuff pack for the game. I loved TS2 University EP and was really looking forward to seeing what TS3 University Life would have to offer. I was not disappointed!

I'm using Constance Shelley from Riverview for this entry. Constance before her makeover (because I never use a Sim as they come, it's too boring).

And after her University Life makeover.

This is Constance's house in Riverview along Flower Row.

Constance wants a university degree so she took the SUAT (Sims University Aptitude Test) and she received a full scholarship to Sims University!

She packed her bag and waited for her ride to arrive (giving us a less "vacation" type of suitcase was too much work for the game developers).

Only one suitcase but moving to college requires a moving van!

Constance decided to bunk at Malan Hall Dormitory. It has the best location on campus in terms of getting to classes in a timely manner.

A nice shot of the bulk of the campus. In the middle is the quad, directly behind that is St. John Administration center, to the right of the quad is Conners Student Union and to the left of the quad is the Nichols School of Business. It is a lovely campus.

After getting settled into her dorm room (she opted to run and grab one of the two private rooms) it was time to head to the freshman meet and greet at the student union. Constance met a nice boy named Walter there who asked her out on a date.

They went to see a movie and by the end of the night they were necking outside the theater.

First day of classes! Everyone gets a backpack to carry all those heavy textbooks.

The doors to classes sometimes have a bit of a traffic jam in front of them. The girl facing the camera is Tiffany Angles; one of Connie's roommates.

After her first class she heads back to the student union for her lecture. You can sleep, take notes or ask questions while the lecture is being given.

With such a long first day behind her Connie decided it was time to relax a bit and do some online gaming with her friends.

Unfortunately she stayed up MUCH too late playing and thus made a quick stop for a pick-me-up at the local java hut; Roasted Toasted Beans before her classes the next day.

After class Constance had a protest and she gave a very impassioned speech.

The turn out was spectacular!

Afterward everyone congratulated her and threw confetti around.

Before she left the quad Walter asked her out on another date and this time they went to the bowling alley. Although not much bowling got done.

The next day Constance was asked to host a live on location radio bit with her favourite professor. She was really looking forward to interviewing Professor Noetal.

I guess Constance didn't ask the right kind of questions and made Madeleine pretty angry. Connie was VERY disappointed.

To cheer herself up she went over to the group science project area on campus to watch what the other students were doing.

Now that she'd been there a few days Constance had really made a little home out of her dorm room and spent most of her time there when she was at the dorm.

When Constance woke up the next day she decided to write Walter a love letter and ask him to be her boyfriend. No waiting around for the man to do it!

She didn't want to be waiting by the mailbox for a response so she threw a bonfire party to distract herself.

Walter called her over to his dorm the next day and very much accepted Constance's offer to be her boyfriend. Woohoo ensued.

Eventually it was time for her final exams and after a lot of hard work and studying she passed with flying colours. When they do well they do a little happy dance outside of the building where the test was held.

In the wee hours of the morning Constance once again packed her bag and headed home until the next term.

That's it for Constance's story. This is a random photo I took while waiting for Connie to get out of class. I'm not sure if this is a university behaviour but this is the first homosexual couple I've seen that weren't put together by me. I thought that was really cool.

This definitely has nothing to do with University but I only noticed this the other day. When you leave a picnic basket unattended the ants start o take over and carry off the food. I thought this was too cute and in four years I've never noticed it! You know you aren't done with the game when you're still finding little interesting details like this.

That's it, I hope you enjoyed the look at UL in case you were thinking of buying it or even if you already own it. Until next time; happy Simming!
