I've been avoiding writing because things here right now are... just not good.

Money is THE root of all evil, and it's killing us.

How do you explain to people that your husband, on the books, makes almost $40 PER HOUR -- but that you are poor and can't pay your bills. Haven't paid your mortgage in months. Are scared that the bank is going to take your house. That you can't afford food.

But when he wakes up every morning to a text or call saying, "no work today, try again tomorrow." What are we supposed to do? He doesn't SKIP work. They don't HAVE work. He receives unemployment, but it's not a whole lot. He can't get a 2nd job or he LOSES that unemployment altogether.

It's a NO win situation.

So, we've decided I will try to get a job -- at least for the time being -- it doesn't have to be forever. He's also put in applications with other companies -- big companies, and we're praying.

I have a friend that works at a big, well known store (trust me, you all know them). He's the store manager and makes 100,000/year. Yes, you read that right. He thinks i can be hired on as an assistant manager making somewhere over 40,000/year starting pay. There's not an opening RIGHTNOW, but he's doing all he can to help me move along in the process quickly -- i told him my experience AND my degree (Bachelor's in Marketing) and he thinks i'm MORE than perfect for the position. I also told him that i need something ASAP, so he said he COULD hire me on in HIS store for a much lesser paying job ($9/hr) for now, just to start getting something immediately.

Josh and i have talked about it, argued about it, been silent to each other, and everything else. But we finally decided, in order to start bringing in a paycheck, that if it's still open, i will take it. Because we need money ASAP.

Sigh.
