Life changes in Just me!

I miss the old days when our children were young, and we were always together for holidays. Now it’s so different. Our daughter and her family have a condo at the beach now, and they went there with the kids. They might have asked us to join them, but Bill just had knee surgery, and the trip would have been too much for him.

Our son and his wife live in Rhode Island, and we’re in NC, so it’s tough. He is in the medical profession so usually has to be at the hospital the next day.

So it was just Bill and me, and we had a delicious meal and enjoyed each other’s company. But it was very hard to look at the pictures on facebook and instagram and see all those full tables…
