the times when "free" isn't worth it in Random Commentary

Don't you love the random freebie that's disproportionate to all the other crap you have to do to get said freebie?

A few examples:

  • Give us your email and choose a password to access this amazing font download/photoshop asset/wallpaper/whatever. Now give us your credit card information to complete your registration, but don't worry we won't use it for anything! (In the words of Bill Burr: Really? You're just collecting numbers, just for the f* of it?)
  • For every dollar you spend we'll give you a free credit. Earn 2,500 credits and redeem them for one of three hideously gaudy accessories you could find in any dollar store.
