A life of pain

You are certainly missed;
Your smile genuine and true --
It still hurts to think about it
But we still love you.
The days are still long
And nights sometimes longer --
While wondering if you're really out there;
Still hating life's robber.
Disease took you years before
The night time took you sunder;
Tonight the candle burns for you,
As you sleep forever under.
