I did something dumb. Friday morning I did our regular grocery shopping and I decided that since my weight loss challenge is over I would take one week off of strict calorie counting and exercising and have a few treats and then go back to it since I still have weight to lose. I honestly didn't buy that much junk but I guess my body wasn't used to me having a few treats all in one day because last night when I was nursing Miles in the middle of the night I felt sick. And I woke up this morning with a sore stomach still and felt like I might be sick. Luckily it went away after a couple hours though because my cousin visited at 9am with her toddler and we had fun playing with the kids and chatting. I'm definitely going to space out the junky snacks I have this week more now though. It made me feel pretty dumb that I did that to myself. I had some chocolate chip cookies, a few small white powdered donuts, pizza and a chocolate bar yesterday in case you were wondering.

Miles only woke up twice last night to nurse and one of those times was right when I was going to bed at 9:30 which was nice and convenient. After that he woke at 2 and then 6, I popped his soother in at 6 and he slept til 6:45. I hope this new 7:30-8 bedtime of his always results in less night time wakeups.

Speaking of Miles, he is 6 months today! I've been giving him baby food for a couple weeks now and he makes the most hilarious faces when he doesn't like something. I was cracking up last night while feeding him. Apparently he doesn't like bananas. He closed his eyes and made the most disgusted face and then looked at me with an expression that said "how could you even put something like that in my mouth?" Haha. I'll have to post the pictures when I have more time. He's liked most of the food I've given him so far though. He's also made faces with peaches and apple but he ate them and tonight he even seemed grossed out by a peas/carrots mix but he ate it. I enjoy the baby food stage because of the different expressions and it's interesting to see what he will like and not like. I make my own baby food in my magic bullet for the most part although I have bought a few things like prunes just in case he gets constipated. I'm sad that I only have 6 months left before I'm back at work but I'll be more sad when it gets a lot closer like 2 months left. Right now I still feel like I have loads of time.

We have friends next door that we often have game night with on Saturday nights. We've done this since we moved in on July 2012 because they moved in 2 months before us. We just lock the door and bring the baby monitors since we live in a townhouse so their house is attached to ours. I sometimes have to come home and feed Miles and pop him back in bed before I go back and continue playing whatever game we're playing. It's usually fun but lately I hate feeling obligated to go when I'm often tired in the evenings. They are younger than us and don't have kids so if they stay up late they can just sleep in until noon the next day. I freaking wish!! We didn't go last week so we're going tonight even though I would prefer to just relax on the couch. Ugh :(
