It has been a busy Saturday and it has flown by. I started laundry and cleaning after a couple of cups of coffee this morning and then started making another weighted lap pad, using denim this time. They always seem to finish up smaller than I wanted so will continue to practice. This one has 2lbs of poly pellets and I just finished it about 30 minutes ago. Anyway while I was working on the lap pad, daughter called and asked me if I wanted to come up for a cut. She knew I was needing a cut really bad and even though I hated to leave the project, I agreed and made an apt for 11. I called dad before I left the house to tell him to work on a shopping list and I'd go to the store when I got done.
Got the cut and called him to get his list. He had several things from the grocery ad and his sweet tooth must be in high gear. :) He wanted choc chip cookies, Little Debbie cakes, a couple of bakery pies (he put those in the freezer), and a few other things. I also picked up some things and headed to his house. Thankfully the county did put a little gravel on the big hill so I had no trouble getting up or back down it today. It gets packed down and slick when the temps stay below freezing. I took his groceries to him and did a few little things while there and then came home. I was very pleased to see that the poly pellets that I had ordered were delivered while I was gone. My prayers were answered as the 50lbs of poly pellets were shipped in two separate boxes. Oh ya!!! I left one box out in the garage and the other is in the sewing room. I haven't opened it yet, but will tomorrow.
There is freezing something possible tonight and in the morning and then snow for the next couple of days. I'm so ready for warmer weather and some spring flowers!!
Going to eat supper. Frozen waffles with peanut butter and a little syrup. The drink of choice is hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. Tomorrow nights supper will be pork neck bones, sauerkraut, and mashed potatoes. It has been years since I cooked neck bones and I can't wait. Yum!!
Goodnight and God Bless
