Today is a day of expectation with a subdued feel to it. Mildly gray sky with no sun in evidence and the hush that oft precedes a storm. A Snow Storm is forecast for tomorrow but downgraded to a 1-3 inch inconvenience. late last week they were calling for a Blizzard for the ages but now a storm for the aged, 1-3e inches. M76y son Rob is feeling about 40 percent better after his bout with the flu. He met me at the office today and had me drive him to the airport. His goal was to retrieve his wife's car so that if the weather was bad when she flew back in Monday night he could meet her and she would not have to deal with a cold icy car. I thought that this was very thoughtful of him. After leaving the airport I was driving home and I was stopped by a State Trooper. I was on the changeover from the NJ Turnpike onto the Garden State Parkway. I managed to avoid a ticket by a combination of groveling and having a nephew on the State troopers who this man knew. My only fear was that Rob would see me on the side of the road and subject me to an unending stream of " I told you so" s. Luck was with me.
