You’re upset,
because I’m dishonest.
But how can I be honest when I’m
talking through a mask?
The one I wore today,
the one that’s just for you.
The one I’ll cover up tomorrow
for someone else to ramble to.
And beneath all these faces
i’m drowning;
My knees sinking under the weight.
But if I tear off these masks there’s a
Monster -
and I’m too afraid to look.
