let the silence
pull you in
she said as he
turned around and
facing her, laughed as
he said “i thought you had
made your great exit scene. you
did it with such aplomb!”
a-what? she said, giggling back
towards him
knowing full well she could
never stay mad at him
even those nights when she
wanted to
