medical mysteries and strange neighbors in reality

On Thursday afternoon, I started smelling exhaust fumes at work. While I thought nothing of it at the time, it persisted. In order to sleep that night, I had to put Vicks in my nose so that the exhaust would not keep me awake.

I woke up on Friday morning, still smelling the same thing. I called the clinic at work, who advised me to go to an urgent care center. In order to treat the problem, they are going on the process of elimination. Thankfully, this strange symptom is not as strange or uncommon as it seems. They're treating me now for a sinus infection, which can cause the symptom of smelling strange exhaust. If the antibiotics do not get rid of it within three to four days, I am to follow up with an Ear Nose and Throat doctor, or to go to an emergency room, because the symptoms can also be indicative of something more serious like a brain tumor or a temporal lobe seizure. I went over to a friend's house yesterday, who had a seizure disorder along with a diagnosis of MS. She said it's not as bad as it seems - and on a positive and humorous note, I get to play the Tumor card whenever I want for the next couple of weeks.

In all reality, I think it's probably nothing more than a sinus infection, and I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be okay. Devon seems confident as well.

As I plan on spending today at home relaxing and trying to fight off whatever it is that I have and faithfully taking my medication, something strange happened on the home-front. We have a relatively new neighbor downstairs and across the hall. We often hear him yelling randomly - but today that yelling reached new heights. I overheard him screaming to himself that he was going to blow up the courthouse, and that he was going to kill a judge. He said that there was an arrowhead with the judge's name on it, and if he didn't do it, someone else would. I called the apartment office and didn't get an answer, so I walked over there. The person on duty told me that he had known mental health issues, and went over to his apartment to tell him to stay inside and be quiet. He's been shouting since and wandering around shouting to himself, and I've been unable to get ahold of the office ever since. Strange. If this is not an indication that it's not exactly safe where we live anymore and that we need to find a way out as soon as possible.

Is it supposed to be a full moon sometime soon, or is something else going on? All I know is that it's weird - but everything has been weird this week. This is par for the course.
