Updating... in Random Thoughts

I'd have gotten to this sooner, but while I was at the Russian place enjoying some piroshki and Scottish breakfast tea, S sent a text and said she wanted to meet up, so I gave her directions and not long after, I looked up from Twitter to see her and C come in. So it was a nice breakfast. Also, it was kinda celebratory, since I found out this morning that I got the job with the garage door company that I wanted. It'll be nice to get back into the industry that I actually enjoy, and be working for a company that has the standards of quality that I like to see. So when I got back into work on Sunday, I'll be turning in my 2 weeks notice. Anyway, when S left, C from next door hopped the fence and sat around for a while talking. C is 16, 6'4", and a good kid. He and his sister are drastically different people. He's driven, energetic, and knows where he wants his life to, which to me is impressive for 16 years old. His older sister on the other hand is a lazy sack of goo, who lays in bed all day, contributes nothing but strife to the household, and has no goals. C gives me hope that the next generation isn't going to be a complete waste of oxygen.

I'm currently listing to the 3-part harmony I've made for Joshua Kaddison's "Jessie". I am my own worst critic, so when I hear that I've actually managed to make a great harmony bit, I'm also impressed. I've been working on this same damn song for roughly a year. I have the day dream of being a famous actor/singer, which I know will never happen. I'll keep relegated to my head and some small corner of YouTube, and I'm perfectly content with that. It does make me think though. That'll be a rant on the other book.

At some point, I've gotta get this place cleaned up. Hopefully tomorrow will be that point.
