The place i have chosen is a small park located in my neighborhood called Little River Park I chose this place because sometimes it is the only place that brings me peace after a hectic day at work. The park is small yet can occupy my neighbors children for hours. It has a back dirt road which allows you to see the Rio Grande, which is another reason why i chose this place. Nothing beats walks on that dirt road while the sun is setting and reflecting on that river.

Today in particular, i stopped by Little River Park with my new dachshund, Frankie. He seems to love this place already after just being here for a few minutes. It was a long day for the both of us since today my twin sisters first born turned 4 so we are definitely enjoying some down time. The weather is somewhat fresh and partly cloudy , but i doubt we’ll get some rain tonight. It almost feels as if El Paso taunts us, but we have to be grateful for cooler days like today.

This park is pretty clean which is something else i enjoy about it. Personally that is something i find very comforting, no one wants to unwind in a trashy place so im glad were conscious about things like these.
I only hope and wish our world was this way, but wishing isn’t going to do anything. I did a PSA on plastic pollution last semester and it really got me thinking. I cant say I changed my lifestyle 100%, but i started doing things like, bringing my own reusable grocery bags to the supermarket as well as using reusable cups. I eliminated the use of plastic straws at home, and now my family and i actually recycle. I am excited for anything else i learn to do in order to keep our Earth clean.

Frankie and I are leaving now, full of grass and somewhat thirsty , but happy. I hear the usual neighbor boys starting up their dirt bikes and make their way to the dirt road. As much as i try i cant help but hate the loudness of those bikes! but what can we do?

cant wait to come back. :)
