Mum in One day at a time

I’m sitting by my Mother’s bedside, watching her last few moments.
She had a major stroke yesterday, and has been unresponsive since. She is mostly peaceful, although occasionally reaching her arm out straight ahead.. I wonder if it is towards my Father, my older Brother, one of her friends or even our beloved Labrador.
In typical Mum fashion she let’s us hold her hand for a moment and then shrugs us off.
I’m glad I had time to get here.

So sorry to hear this. It is sad to see them so helpless and to say goodbye. I didn’t make it back in time when my Mum went. hugs xxx

I'm so very sorry - I made it to my mum almost 4 hours away on her last day and she died 10 minutes later. I was so so glad to be there at the end.
