Cats in Corvo

The upstairs neighbours have a cat called Moo; he’s small and partially blind and super friendly. I sometimes feed him when they don’t make it home, so he’s used to me being around. A couple of nights ago he discovered he can jump in through my bathroom window, which is how Corvo comes and goes, and he casually wandered into the lounge while Corvo and I were curled up on the couch. Instead of defending his territory Corvo just ran into the bedroom and hid, so I guess this is Moo’s house now too. I put him outside, but he came straight back; yelling, clapping, and flicking water at him all failed to deter him in any way. There’s not a lot I can do to keep him out, other than shut the bathroom door, and that also keeps out my devil. So I guess I have two cats now, assuming Corvo gets the courage to come back home; he ran off the next morning and didn’t come back yet. I’m hoping this will be character-building for Corvo, and he’ll either get braver and kick out the intruder, or he’ll get more sociable. I’m also going to have to figure out a way of feeding him without him just grazing all day, because if I leave food out I’m never going to know who’s eating it.

Cats are weird creatures. Mine is scared of everything but I realised recently that I haven’t seen another cat around my house in forever, so I guess he learned to defend.
