Barefoot?
I loathe shoes. I despise those suckers. Socks? Ugh. I don't think there is a word to describe my feeling towards those cotton tools of torture!!
Needless to say, I prefer to be barefoot. But I do have sensitive tootsies so when the weather permits it (just a few months, sometimes weeks) up here (doncha no) I choose to wear the flip flops.
Gypsy? Well when I choose the name for myself, we really were the stereotypical "gypsies". The hubster was on the other side of the country at nerd camp, and Kiki (my daughter's nickname - we're going for anonymity, here people) and I were staying with my cousin for "the summer". That lasted waaaay longer than we initially intended. Then jobs fell through and we moved again to stay with hubby-man's parents (really not as bad as it sounds, my in-laws are GREAT. Really). Then hubsters got a job like 4 hours away but Kiki and I stayed with the in-laws because I wanted her to finish school.
Last June we followed hubby to our current abode and we've been here ever since.
I'm a stay at home mom, a job I've dreamed of my whole life. 😍 Been married for almost 8 years and Kiki turned 7 just before school got out. We have a cat named Maynard, a ball python named Bellatrix, a corn snake named Cornelius and a hamster officially named Cinnamon, but we mostly call him Pork Chop or Hammie.
I'm a Christian but I was also raised by a Native American and a Wiccan, so I am open minded to all faiths. I'm very "Golden Rule" based (do onto others...and such).
I love all things vintage and retro. Early American times very much interest me. When I was little I wanted to grow up to be Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Ruby is my birthstone and I am completely 100% a Cancerian, but opal is my favorite stone. I live in a house full of Taurians and they never let me forget it. 😀
I collect green glass, fairies and mini tea sets. I think my step-mom is subconsciously trying to convert me to her Wiccan ways because I also have a collection of various witchy paraphernalia. (All bought by her). So I apparently collect that too.
I am a neat freak. I have a binder (technical term: Home Management Binder) that encases all my lists and schedules. I enjoy being organized and have routines. I swear I'm not picky, I'm just particular (and you will do well to remember it snort ha!!)
My dad died suddenly of an aortic aneurism when he was 47, that made me 25. I refer to 2009 as "the dark year" and my quarter life crisis.
I love to read. There is always a stack of library books on my end table. I also love my iPhone and according to my husband I am a social media addict. Maybe...maybe not. 😉
I am 99% gluten-free. Why 99%?? Because I'm human and love pizza and egg rolls. I don't have celiac's so gluten doesn't make me violently ill, it just makes me...uncomfortable. (To put it mildly)
I'm a gamer wife. 🎮 sigh The hubster went to school to draw and make the art for video games and he actually did it for awhile at a company that if you looked at your stack of Xbox games, there would be a handful of them there. (His name is also in the credits of several) So that his pastime. Video games. Meh... It could be worse. Lol
That's me in a nutshell.
