Okay so I was talking to my roommates the other day about tattoos and it got me thinking about how much I have always wanted one. I think that tattoos are beautiful. For the past three years I have known what I wanted. I want my favorite quote tattooed on my shoulder blade. It will read: Individuality is freedom lived.

I really love this quote because it resonates with me in a big way. When I was in school I was picked on a lot because I wasn't "cool". When I was young and naive I tried to fit in with those people until I got sick of it. I just asked myself why I wanted to fit in with these people anyway? They are shallow, rude idiots who couldn't carry on a decent conversation to save their life. So, in a way I was freed by the fact that I accepted myself for who I was and I didn't care about what others thought of me. Best decision of my life.

So when I get my refund check in January I am going to use some of it to get my tattoo! I still haven't decided the size or the font...any ideas?

I am so nervous though. I hope it doesn't hurt too bad. When you had your first tattoo was it that bad? Is there anything I can do that will numb some of the pain? I am not a bitch when it comes to pain but there is a limit.

I am so excited! Wish me luck. Tomorrow I am going with my roommate to get her tattoo and get an estimate for mine.
