I'm going to go ahead and put this out there... I realize my opinion may not be a popular one, but that's what it is.. my opinion :-)
I keep seeing entries on OD about how they aren't abandoning OD for PB, and how OD has always been amazing for them, and they won't turn their back on OD.
The first thought I always have is that OD is not a great place because of the website. It's not a great place because the DM made it that way. It's a great place because of the people.
A large chunk of the people are moving to PB. For various reasons.. I don't dislike the DM, he has a life.. he probably had no idea what OD would turn into when he started it. However, I'd like a website that is owned by someone that cares to keep it alive and well programmed.
This place feels like OD to me, except without the lag, time outs, errors, and missing administrator! Most of my OD friends are here too... sure it's sad to not have all my OD entries here.. but truly.. that WAS my life.. it's not my current life. I write about my current life!!
I guess what irritates me is that people are pinning their love of OD on the failing website.. when the reason OD was so awesome is the people. And it doesn't make you loyal or cool to support a failing website. What exactly are you being loyal to?
