I’m too tired to go all into it and list everything, but I accomplished everything except the Free Code Camp goal. In my defense, I had one week of Padme Lake Gown work scheduled for January and it ended up filling three weeks (once every 5 years do I mis-calculate that badly. It was awful.) I also had strep throat for one week and a nasty cold for three. I was actually on time with my Free Code Camp monthly goal (I accomplished about 25% of it) until the strep hit, so I suppose we can blame that if we’re being generous.
I think the actual mistake that I made was taking an extra January commission for Hermione Yule Ball at the end of the month. If I were really dedicated to my goals, I would have recognized that I was behind from strep and that I needed to lose the extra income and the extra project in order to focus on finishing Free Code Camp. I just couldn’t bring myself to do that; I took the money instead.
I’m feeling really excited about writing and my story and really ‘meh’ about coding. I hope I’m not hurting my story enthusiasm by trying to do sewing/coding/writing/household at the same time. But…I’m getting older. One needs to squeeze as much as one can into life. I’m going to decide that strep was NOT burnout and do my very best to complete all of my February goals.
I’m editing ‘The Plan’ entry to push back all of my FCC things by one month to account for January’s failures. Hooray for staying on target with everything else.
