Poor kid can't catch a break in At the foot of the hill

Granddaughter having surgery for appendicitis this morning. She’s the one who lost her job just before Christmas. She was able to find another, (better ?) one and started on Jan. 2. I don’t suppose that her benes have kicked in yet…like health insurance.... I don’t know. Prayers would be appreciated.
