Review: It was one am and I was looking for a book just to check out to sample upon my iPad through iBooks to help me sleep. It was then that this book found me. I had to read that first chapter. I had not expected to read more. I was hooked with the first line. I read more and the next thing I knew the first chapter had ended. I had to read more. Purchased the book and lied in bed reading it till I had finished at 4:30 am.

This book was amazing. A story celebrating the life of a singer who's life ended all too soon on March 31,1995. The Tejano music world was halted with the death of the singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez. Chris tells it through his words and while reading this book I couldn't stop. It was one of the most amazing biographies I have ever read. It had me enthralled. I learned things that had been quiet until now. I had learned things about Selena I had never known, what the movie Selena starring Jennifer Lopez had left out. It was a touching read and the book alone left me with a bittersweet feel after finishing. I loved every part of this book and reading it felt like an honor to read it. Chris opened up and let her fans see just how amazing she was, how the two shared a good bit of their lives together. Reading this book just felt like an honor because it was a very personal book for Chris to write. It was definitely a book I am glad to have stumbled upon. I HIGHLY recommend this book to any Selena fan. You will not be disappointed.
